(c. 2024) When Grand Rapids announced the construction of a new soccer stadium on the West Side, I thought it would be a fun exercise to create a (fictional) logo system for the future team. Introducing: The Grand Rapids SC Harpies. I chose the Harpies in homage to the other mythical creature GR sports teams, the Griffins and Rise (Phoenix). The colors are a refined version of the city’s — I’m also just a sucker for sky blue and burgundy.
